I design this a purge chute cover with a silicon nozzle wiper.

Benefits:

  • Purged filament doesn't jump on the plate
  • Nozzle is better cleaned
  • Pieces of purged filament don't go everywhere , each corner of the printer remains clean

How to install THE MODELS WITH and WITHOUT THE LOGO:

How it works:

INSTRUCTIONS

What is the nozzle wiper made of?

It is made from a piece of silicone from the molds used to make pancakes. Like this one you see in this pic:

Β

How big should the silicone piece to be cut be?

10mm x 2mm x 15mm

PRINT THE POOP STOP WITH THE NOZZLE WIPER

CUT THE PIECE:

APPLY THE SILICON PIECE IN THE SEAT OF THE POOP STOP AND INSTALL THE POOP STOP IN THE POOP BUCKET

AS YOU SEE IN THIS PIC , MY MODEL IS SUPER FLAT, SO WARPING MUST BE ON IT TO AVOID CRASHED OR SCRATCHES AGAINST THE HOTEND, TOOLHEAD OR FAN DUCT:

BE SURE WHEN YOU'RE PRINTING , THE PRINT IS NOT WARPING!!

With what materials should it be printed?

I recommend PAHT-CF and PET-CF. This is because, when the printer is performing the "nozzle cleaning tip" function, the nozzle temperature is 200Β°C.
So I recommend printing it with materials that resist high temperatures to avoid deformation or future problems.

Do you want to use ABS? Ok, you're free to do so, but don't give me a bad rating for YOUR CHOICE!

I have tested this model so many times and it works smoothly! No issue.

ALL THE MODELS ARE AVAILABLE ON MY PAGE.

NOTICE:

DON'T MODIFY THE ORIENTATION!

NOTICE: THE FOLLOWING PHOTO SHOWS THE EXTRUDED FILAMENT BEING HELD ON THE SILICON NOZZLE WIPER, BEFORE PRINTING.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY I DESIGNED THIS MODEL. THAT EXTRUDED FILAMENT COULD RUIN YOU FIRST LAYER!

PLEASE CHECK ALWAYS IF THE SILICON NOZZLE WIPER IS CLEAN AND IF YOU SEE THAT SOME EXTRUDED FILAMENT HAS BEEN DEPOSITED ON IT, REMOVE THE EXTRUDED FILAMENT AND ENJOY 3D PRINTING.

THE PHOTO WAS MADE AS EXAMPLE AFTER 3h PRINTING.

MY MODEL HAS ALREADY BEEN TESTED, FOR A MONTH AND I DON'T FIND ANY PROBLEMS.

THE MODEL ,AS TEST EXAMPLE IN THE PIC, WAS PRINTED IN ABS, BUT I STILL RECOMMEND SUPERIOR FILAMENTS LIKE PC , PATH OR PET.

Print Profiles are not remixes. Your model does not get altered in any way by adding a print profile. Trying to prevent people from helping to get your model out there seems self-defeating. It's also in contrast to the way MakerWorld is designed. If someone figures out the settings for this to print on a 10 year old I3, why would you want to prevent them from helping get your model in front of others running the same machines?

Yes I agree it's a silly hill to die on, but copying from another comment, the license says "You shall not share, sub-license, sell, rent, host, transfer, or distribute in any way the digital or 3D printed versions of this object" When you upload a print profile, it asks for a .3MF file. Is it possible to upload a .3MF file that does not contain the model? Does MakerWorld strip the model from your .3MF file and replace it with the original? Is there a special case in the license used that allows specifically unmodified models in print profiles?

'Modifying' in BL slicer doesn't change the model, it changes settings that apply to the original model, therefore they aren't a remix. A Remix is a modification to the geometry data itself, this isnt what BL slicer does.

Of course. The license gives remixes as an example. It does not allow re-uploads at all, regardless of whether they are a remix or not, hence my question (I'm not sure where this discussion about remixes even came from...)

Origibal creator doesn’t understand licensing choices and is quite rude not worth the effort of printing anything from this guy.

I had a problem with it also .it printed well but it fit so loose it would pop up and cause problems with my print. I tossed it because I didn't trust it.

In case this doesn't work for you, here are some alternatives (that you can also remix): https://makerworld.com/en/models/186746#profileId-205631 https://makerworld.com/en/models/178152#profileId-196031 https://makerworld.com/en/models/179704#profileId-212971

I think I should add a new print profile, this model doesn't have a profile to print on my A1 Mini. As you see in the screenshot, I am unable to print from it. I'm going to load it on my computer and make one for A1 mini users + AMS color logo. Or someone can do it for me. :)
