This is a Ramp design for RC Cars, I use it for 1/8 to 1/12 scale offroad cars. It turned out very good and cars get a good kick :)
I could have been faster and possibly cheaper using just scrap wood, but hey, I might as well use my printer ;)
Printer:
Foo Bar
Rafts:
Doesn't Matter
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0.2
Infill:
40%
Notes:
I printed with scrap ABS, but the Material doesnt really matter. I used more infill than usual to get better strength, seems tough enough.
Print parts A to D and the corner once normal and once mirrored. Then print two of each brackets. the top and bottom support pieces help to keep the wood in shape and may not be necessary.
You need a big print bed, its designed to fit on a 30x20cm beb, 20x20 is not big enough!
Post-Printing
Get some wooden beams in roughly 50x24, I actually ended up with 48x24 which was just 0.50€ per 2m.
As for the surface of the ramp, I used some cheap wood sheet which was easy to bend in 4mm thickness (the slot is 4.4mm). Mine was 60cm wide and I decided that I build the entire ramp 60cm wide.
You need the following pieces:
2x 443mm
2x 268mm
2x 170mm
(I cut every piece just a few mm shorter than required to be 100% sure it will fit.)
3x Pieces which have the exact same length than the width of the material you will be using for the ramp surface (in my case 60cm).
use 35mm M4 hardware to assemble the frame. Wood screws to attach the prints to the wooden beams.
