Description
This figure of a young man with pointed ears can be identified as the god Pan: the sculpture must originally have been complited with the pedum (curved shepherd's crook) in the right hand and the syrinx (Pan piped) in the left, based on the other known copies of the same type. the statue is a copy of a Hellenistic original inspired by the Greek art of the Classical period. This is dating back to the early imperial period.
