Description
Carved in high relief, this female figure is dressed in a tunic wrapped in a loose fringed mantle. She is wearing sandals on her feet and a diadem on her head adorned with rosettes; the pomegranate and the bundle of sticks in her hands are from a modern restoration. The style of mantle and diadem, recognisable as symbols of the priestesses of Isis, make it possible to identify this female personification with the province of Egypt.
