Description
The Satyr, companion of God Dionysus, is recognizable from its pointy ears and small horns on his head. Only the bust of this full-length statue remains. The original group, now lost, showed a satyr inviting a nymph seated on a rock to dance. This bust is recomposed by various pieces glued back together. All the gaps were filled with plaster. There are traces of red pigment in the hair, eyes and eyebrows.
