Say goodbye to those awful wedge doorstops of the past that damage the bottom of your door and just never seem to work quite right. This doorstop will never get lost and you never have to worry about if your door is secure; just open the door and it clicks.
The only mounting hardware needed is a screw. One screw will be sent to you with each doorstop you order.
*NEW* As requested by a current backer, you will now be able to add design files to your reward. For $2 added to your pledge I will also send you the 3D printable .stl file if you would like to print more doorstops for yourself in the future. There are several online companies that will print and ship for you but take note that one unit will cost between $12 and $40 from them.
The simple and elegant design can be used by anyone.
Depending on space, preference, and floor type, the doorstop can be mounted in 3 positions:
- Beneath the door
- At the side of the bottom of the door
- By the handle
All 3 positions hold the door once you open it. You never have to worry about losing your doorstop since it is secured to the wall.
Locking your door in place can stop pets or children from accidentally closing the door on themselves and not being able to open it again. It can also stop the door from being closed from a draft or from misaligned hinges that have a tendency to close the door.
I keep all my sweaters on hooks behind my door and that always leaves the door half open. With the doorstop, its always open.
Each doorstop is 3D-Printed for you out of a strong and flexible plastic. Should the doorstop lose its flat shape over time, heating it for 5 seconds with a hairdryer will allow you to bend it back to its original shape.
