SummaryAn exoskeleton hand for stroke victims with spastic or flaccid muscle tone trying to regain grasp motion or fine motor skills.InstructionsAll parts printed on a MakerBot Replicator 2 or Ultimaker with PLA and NinjaFlex. Printing instructions: -2 Bolts printed long-side down (PLA). -4 Bolt caps printed top-side down (PLA). -5 Hooks printed on side; flat side down (PLA) . Hand: Small: 6" from wrist to tip of middle finger. Large: 6.5" from wrist to tip of middle finger. Print patterned-side up (PLA). Cuff: Small: ~2.6" diameter; Large: ~3". This is intended to be worn with padding. Print proximal side down (PLA). Fingers: Measure width of pinky-index fingers at the middle joint. Add .04-.06" and choose from pinky/finger files. Measure distal joint of thumb. Add .01-.02 and choose from thumb files. Print slot-side down with NinjaFlex. Assembly: -Screw in hooks to cuff -Attach Hand to Cuff using bolts and bolt caps -Tie finger tips to string/fishing line. Thread through hand piece. Tie to springs so hand is open when springs are in relaxed position -Add padding to cuff and hand piece -Add velcro straps to cuff piece Springs: Choose desired strength (5/16" diameter X 3/4" length pictured)
