Mini New Matter MOD-t

Description

Being a backer of the New Matter MOD-t back in June of 2014, I have always loved the idea of 3D printing. It always amazed me that you could think of something, design that something, print that and have a physical object in your hand.

I thought it would be cool if you could use your 3D printer to 3D print a 3D printer. Well, I have done that! It may not be a functional 3D printer, but it is a mini replica (scaled down from actual size) of the New Matter MOD-t.

Purchase this design for only $1 and you can 3D print a 3D Printer!

Best settings to print on the New Matter MOD-t:

  • 50 or 100 microns (I printed at 100 microns)
  • 25% infill
  • No carriage lift
  • Supports on (REQUIRED TO PRINT)
  • 210 degrees
  • No raft required (although you can use one)

After you have printed it, you may notice the holes towards the back of the printer and on the top of the carriage. These holes are a part of the design. Use filament (1.75mm) and super glue the filament into the holes to complete the look of the MOD-t as shown in the pictures.
