This frame is the 13th iteration in my micro quad frame design that I started designing after flying the QX90. The QX90 opened my eyes to how much fun a micro sized quad could be. I have put a lot of time into making this frame the best possible solution for anyone looking to build a sub 100mm quadcopter. A lot of crashing helped me determine the weak points in this frame and I did my best to keep weight down while also making this thing as tough as possible.

• Frame with motor mounts Weighs 10.8 grams

•  100mm diagonal X 70mm across motor spacing fits parrot props

•  Stiff enough to keep out nasty oscillations that play tricks on flight controller

•  (UPDATED) FPV camera now has better protection from nasty crashes and has a special slotted mount to securely hold FPV camera in place. 

•  Micro Losi connector hard mounted to frame to keep wires out of props

•  (UPDATED) Motor wires are routed through a channel on the underside of each arm. This keep wires from getting damaged or snagged, while also making them easy to remove and instal without having to remove other components.

•  Frame arms support brushed motors from the bottom to prevent the shaft pushing the back plate off

•  (UPDATED) Integrated flight controller standoffs are now bigger and make it easier to mount the flight controller.

• (Updated) larger diameter antenna passages allow for easy install in arms 1 & 2. Keeps Rx antenna safe and out of the way.

•  Designed to hold 8.5X20 brushed motors

• 225C First layer 220C rest of print
• 60C Build plate
• 60mm/s print speed
• 2 Perimeters
• 4 Top layers 3 Bottom layers
• No support
• Cooling fan on after 2nd layer
• Infill 40%
• 0.4mm Nozzle
• 0.48mm bead width

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTING FOR MOTOR MOUNTS (NINJAFLEX):

• 0.2mm layer height
• 225C first layer 220C rest of print
• 12mm/s print speed
• No Support
• 100% infill
• 0.4mm Nozzle
• 0.28mm bead width (This is low because otherwise, the thin walls of the motor mount will not print)
