Amnesia a machine for guinea pigs

Prints (0)

Description

A few years ago, I had the idea of building an automatic feed distributor for my guinea pigs. For lack of time I always postponed this project. Now I finally found the time and decided to design the device. I love steampunk so I decided to draw a machine with that style.

The distributor can be mounted on almost all cages with vertical and horizontal bars. The device is programmable so you can guarantee more meals a day. Portions can be adjusted via software or changing the spiral.

I suggest to print all the parts with PLA (it's not as toxic as ABS) and don't use any toxic paint, they can contaminate the food of your small friends.

you will need some extra material to build this device:

-1 360° servo (full rotation)

-1 arduino  lilypad

-1 5mm led (red but you can choose other colors)

-3 M4 screws 25mm

-1 M3 plastic screw 10mm

-1 cellphone wall charger + usb cable ( if you have one with broken cell side plug, is better)

-2 6mm rubber pipes (long enought to connect the tower with the core)

-1 piece of paper (for the clock face)

  • some small wires (to connect all the electronic parts)

-some glue

Printing settings (BQ Witbox):

200 micron

60 mm/s

supports everywhere
