Club Santos Laguna S.A. de C.V.,3 better known as Santos Laguna or simply Santos, is a professional soccer club based in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. It was officially registered on September 4, 1983 by the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social del Estado de Durango under the name "Club Santos IMSS." Its ownership is held by the corporation, Orlegi Deportes.

It has participated in the highest category of the Mexican Soccer League, the First Division of Mexico, since the 1988-89 season, being one of the seven teams in the current division of honor that has never been relegated.

It belongs to the Mexican Football Federation at the national level, to the Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Football at the continental level, and to the Fédération Internationale de Football Association at the world level. It is the third soccer club to be founded in the metropolitan area of La Laguna and Coahuila, after the extinction of the teams Club de Fútbol Laguna and Club de Fútbol Torreón.7

Since its foundation in 1983, the main stadium was Corona Stadium until 2009, when it moved to the Nuevo Estadio Corona, which has a capacity for 30,000 spectators and is located within the Territorio Santos Modelo. Since its beginnings, the colors that have identified the club are green and white, taken from the extinct and precursor clubs of C. F. Laguna and C. F. Torreón. F. Torreón.

The first league title was won in 1996,9 the following championships were won in 2001, 2008, 2012, 2015 and 2018, the cup championship in 2014 and the champion of champions in 2015. It is the fifth most successful team in the league's history along with Pachuca and Tigres.10n 2 In international competitions it has only obtained two runner-up finishes in the CONCACAF Champions League.

According to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, it is the fourth best club of the 21st century in the Concacaf zone11 and the sixth Concacaf team of the first decade of the 21st century.12
