3D model description

My version of fully 3d-printable filament spool holder.

Idea come from CreativeTools (http://www.thingiverse.com/CreativeTools)

I just remade it to be a bit more efficient (less plastic and time spent printing) and that it can be fitted on Prusa i3 frame easily.

22.3.2016 UPDATE!!!

-added v1.5
-added wheels and spindle for 1.75mm filament axes
-added free filament holder

I decided to upload v1.5 instead of new v2, because it did not meet my expectations and perform worse than v1. I have just a little spare time so it may take a while till I finish it.

v1.5 is just tweaked update of current parts
-wheels and spindle have bigger holes so they shouldn't need sanding.
-spindle has a bit taller base so wheels doesn't look out ot top and doesn't interfere with filament spool and also a bit wider cone so bigger diameter spools will fit.
-holder has octagonal pins instead of sqare ones so they fit in round holes more easily
-body has reduced height to save time and filament
-cone has larger hole so it should fit more easily and lifted bottom edge so its easier to take it off from printbed.

All new parts aren't tested so if you find any mistakes, please report them in coments or try to print older version of part.

3D printing settings

I printed it from PLA, layer height 0,2mm, speed around 40-50 mm/s on my Prusa i3.

Some parts may need a bit of sanding to fit.

Wheel shafts are made from 3mm filament.

If you have troubles puting it together, look on this video to understand (original CreativeTools video)
