Habe mich mal der Dämpferproblematik angenommen...

Zu hohes Losbrechmoment.
Dieses entsteht dadurch, dass die untere Dämpferkappe die X-Ringe zu sehr zusammenquetscht.

War eine einfache, simple, aber doch geniale Idee ;)

Einige von euch gehen hin, und schleifen den Ring zwischen den beiden X-Ringen etwas ab.

Das funktioniert.
Nachteile: Man muss den Dämpfer zerlegen (Rodend von der Kolbenstange schrauben) und den Ring exakt plan abschleifen.

Andere gehen hin und drehen die untere Kappe einfach lockerer...
Funktioniert.
Nachteil: Keine Kontrolle ob die Kappe sich weiterhin los dreht. Wenn es dumm läuft, laufen euch die Dämpfer leer.

Jetzt meine Lösung: Ich habe mal ein wenig gemessen, und einen C-Clip gezeichnet, der zwischen untere Dämpferkappe und Dämpfergehäuse kommt.
Somit entsteht weniger Druck auf die Dichtungen, und das Losbrechmoment wird wesentlich reduziert :)

Bin so schon gefahren, und muss sagen in Verbindung mit 100er Öl ist das Fahrbild ein völlig Anderes, einfach geil :)

I've once assumed the damper problematic ...

Too high breakaway torque.
This is caused by the fact that the lower damper cap squeezes the X-rings too much.

Was a simple, simple, but brilliant idea;)

Some of you go, and sharpen the ring between the two X-rings.

It is working.
Disadvantages: You have to disassemble the damper (screw rod end of the piston rod) and grind the ring exactly flat.

Others go and turn the lower cap just looser ...
Is working.
Disadvantage: No control if the cap continues to spin. If it is stupid, the mutes run empty.

Now my solution: I once measured a bit, and drawn a C-clip, which comes between lower damper and damper housing.
Thus, less pressure on the seals, and the breakaway torque is substantially reduced :)
