3D model description

The most useful camera accessory I have ever designed and built has to be this fig rig camera steady. It transforms hand held camera shots and makes possible shots that are impossible when your holding the camera on its own.
To make the handheld camera Steady you will need

3D Printed Parts:
1 x 001115 Camera Platform Base
2 x 000714 Corner Foot
4 x 000709 Corner 135 Degrees
1 x 001117 Mounting Screw Lock (updated)

Non-printed parts:
1 x 1/4" Mounting Screw (with or without Ring) 0.39"/10mm Shaft
1 x M6 Plain Washer
1 x 1/4 Inch Threaded Diameter Insert Rivet Blind Nut (Optional)
1m x 21.5mm overflow pipe
Suitable glue (superglue)

Instructions:
Have a look at the attached drawing pdf for an exploded assembly view (001116 Fig Rig Camera Steady).
Cut up the pipe into 5 x 140mm and 2 x 150mm lengths.
Glue the 150mm pipe lengths into the base and glue the corners into the ends. Make sure you get then at right angles. You might find it helpful to glue a 140mm pipe into the corners first to judge the angle better.
Glue the remaining 135 degree corners into the remaining 140mm pipes and glue the frame together.
If your are fitting the 1/4 Inch Threaded Diameter Insert Rivet Blind Nut for tripod mounting glue this in place.
Thread the washer onto the mounting screw and insert into the underside of the base.
Glue in the Mounting Screw Lock to hold the mounting screw and washer captive.
Add camera and enjoy!
