Side Cutter Cap - Two Part Design (My variation)

This my take on a cap for side cutters. Thanks very much for the inspiration from the following two users.

Both are very good designs but for me they were being printed with layers the wrong way. To lay the design down to print it would have meant printing with supports.

So I decided to redesigned as a two part design, both sides being identical. They are then glued together.

I have also made the hole the the same size on both sides, this means the cap goes on either way.

I have uploaded the Fusion 360 file so and made it easy to modify a few of the parameters, just in case your cutters are not identical to mine.

The parameters are self explanatory

RIVET_DIA
INSIDE_HEIGHT
INSIDE_WIDTH
BLADE_THICKNESS (Or the inside depth)

All in mm

To print make sure you lay it down on the bed, as per the 8th image and don't forget to print them in pairs

Video showing the assembly. Put glue on the outside faces of the tabs and offer the narrow end together first with the two halves at a slight angle to each other. Then twist them into the correct position. Just follow the video!

The design prints without the need for supports, a brim or raft

I have printed in PETG and PLA both work fine and glued together with super glue.
