3D model description

Hi!

I love this RC tank and I want to share my improvements on the design.

I will list the part by its name and write what I have made to it. (Some parts will need support for the holes!)

Some parts got issues with the tolerances, so I remade some parts and added some improvements to them.

I recommend printing the original parts with horizontal expansion on 0.1, so the bearings and nuts don't fall out. (THIS APPLIES ONLY FOR THE ORIGINAL PARTS AND NOT THESE ONES)

540_Motor_Bracket
I just made it a more snug fit with the screws and nuts.

Drive Wheel and Track_Drive_Wheel

I've got a hard time to find MOD 1.0 spur gears for 3.175Β mm axis, but I've found MOD 0.8 spur gears, so I model up a replacement. It's modular, so you can easily change it out if you strip some tooth.

You will need 8pcs M3x25 (min) M3x35 (max) screws and 8 lock nuts.

left_wheel_suspension_ThighterFitment
right_wheel_suspension_ThighterFitment

Just like the name states, it got better fitment, so the bearings and nuts will stay in place, and you will have space to put washers in the screw holes. (see picture)

EXTENSION KIT!

All parts named +50mm are just extended 50mm, this will make it a lot easier to fit more stuff in it.

PS. top_cover_holder_+50mm_FPVAntenna AND top_cover_holder_1_V1+50mm needs additional part, top_cover_holder_2_V1 and 1 M3x10 and a nut.

FPV Kit

I made an easy way to install an FPV Camera in the front of the tank, and it's still protected. The next plan I got for it is to put an acrylic sheet in front of the camera.

The part - top_cover_holder_+50mm_FPVAntenna - It's designed for a pigtail antenna like TBS Unify VTX.

Track Spike

I redesigned the tracks because I've got a hard time to find M3x45 and got my hands on M4x45mm screws.

I made them a lot beefier, so they will hold up better than the original ones.

Furthermore, I added 3mm holes in them, so the plan is to screw all holes with grab screws to increase the grip of the tank

PS. Premade STL files with 10 pieces and 30 pieces DS.

IMPORTANT! If you downloaded "Chassis_2_V1+50mm_FPV" don't use that one! It got no space for the screws on the camera to pass through. Download and print Chassis_Front_+50mm_FPV_Camera instead!
