Pirate Ship (altered from OpenForge)

This is my own take on DevonJones's freaking awesome Pirate Ship.

I made what changes I felt appropriate. A few of the biggest changes I have made were fusing the walls of each level to the floors of that level. It just leaves you with fewer parts to deal with. I also cut out a small cylinder out of each of the 3 beams in each level to super glue neodymium magnets into them. Now the whole model snaps together and you can pick the whole thing up by the top level. I added cross beams to the masts so I can put cloth sails on them later. Another major change I made was to add furniture and decorations to the model. This really helped the wow factor when showing this to my DND group. Probably the largest addition was adding in cannons and windows to the second level. To do this, I had to remove some walls and change where the stairs come down. This was not easy but it looks great I think. You need cannons if you're going to be a pirate! I also added a kitchen, Captains quarters, and crews hammocks to the ship. I also added other forms of storage like sacks or wheat, flour, oranges (to fight the scurvy), crates, barrels, and RUM! DevonJones also included the head of Alduin from Skyrim. I used that for the dragon head instead.

I used the Ender 3 printer. A large majority (probbably 95%) of this print was done on the 0.04mm nozzle at 0.03mm layer height. I did increase the Wall Thickness to 1.2mm so that Cura would increase the Wall Line Count to 3. Other important settings are 200C print temp, 60C buld plate temp, 10% infill using triangles, 50mm/s speed, Z hop when retracted, print cooling at 100%, support everywhere at 50 degrees, build plate adhesion is brim. On Average, each section should take about 6-8 hours each. Some only take 4 while others take 10 hours. So this is a fairly large project. Don't start this thinking I'll have it done next week. I went through almost 2 spools of filament.

I would like to note that not 100% of this model is perfect. I tried to keep the folder "Printable Files" up to date the best I could. I would use the Blender program to edit the files. In Blender, go to File, then click "I" for import, then "T" for .STL file. Then have at it! Enjoy this Pirate Ship!
