3D model description

If you have a fish tank, and especially a salt water recifal fish tank, may be you have a reverse osmosis filter to purify the tap water you use for your tank.

Now I don't know about you, but the device I got came with a wrench to unscrew the fiber filter tanks, but none to open the resin tank (the last tank in the water circuit).

And it can be really difficult to open !

That's why I designed this wrench, and I'm now able to replace the resin without ripping the skin of my hand appart !

3D printing settings

I printed it on a dual extruder Wanhao.

The X3G file provided sets 230Β° on the right extruder, 110Β° on the board, 30% fill and 4 shells.

However, I have printed one with 15% fill and 2 shells, and it's working fine.

I had no warping issue, and getting it off the board was not that easy.

Since the dimension tolerance is pretty low for it to work fine, I first printed a very thin prototype, just a few layers, which gave me a paper-like prototype I used to check it would fit around the tank cap. And it did !

Then I printed the full stuff. And it worked !
