Floating Pumpkin Head!!

Inspired by my popular Boo ghost design that floats around on its larger-than-life tong. I wanted to make a simple pumpkin Head that would do essentially the same thing.

Took a while to get the design played out where the pumpkin was hollow and still being held up by the tong. I created a key way that holds the head to the tong in such a way that it appears to be just floating in space.

It works out great being hollow to add a LED tea light candle and make the pumpkin head pop to life!!

All parts are already oriented to the build plate in such a way that supports aren’t necessary. Making this a rather simple, easy to print design.

I glued 8mm round x 3mm magnets in place to hold the front half of the pumpkin head to the back half.

Just about any LED tea light candle will work as there is a large flat area in the bottom of the pumpkin to accommodate different sizes.
Please no real flame candles here!! Obvious reasons.. Haha

3D printing settings

I used no supports on the parts, except for the pumpkin head Back.
I set infill to 14% gyroid for all parts but the tong. The tong was printed out with 18% gyroid
