3D model description

Put simply, this Enhanced Mounting set is designed to allow enough depth behind a Eufy Wireless Doorbell for a USB cable to be permanently fitted. This means that the doorbell may be powered via connected solar panel, mains transformer etc similar to the Eufy Security Cameras.

The Eufy Wireless Doorbell as designed will operate via battery or connected to a 8-24V AC wired feed. However this latter convention is primarily found in North American doorbell systems and therefore not particularly suited to other regions of the world.

Therefore users not based in the USA have no option but to regularly dismount the doorbell in order to charge it. For this reason, this Enhanced Mounting set was created to provide an alternate method of powering the doorbell.

The original Eufy kit includes: a Doorbell Bracket and a 15 deg wedge.

This Enhanced Mounting set includes:
- Replacement Doorbell Bracket
- 45 deg wedge for doorways that are recessed into the building.
- 20mm stand-off for flat surface mounting

It was necessary to redesign the supplied Doorbell Bracket in order to relocate the upper screw hole which was inconveniently located directly behind the USB port.

Great care was taken to include the manufacturers click-install / pin click removal system. However it is important to ensure the removal hole is not obstructed by carefully clearing it out with a small drill bit. This should be done prior to test fitting. DO NOT final install with this hole blocked.

A standoff and 45 deg wedge have been included. They have been skeletonised in order to provide as much internal volume as possible for reticulation of cabling.

As the doorbell camera has a 160 deg view, it was felt that a 15 deg wedge was of limited use and hence an enhanced replacement was not included. However this may be reviewed at a later date if there is any demand for it.

The 45 deg wedge will accept larger countersunk screws for mounting although the supplied screws will work in a pinch. The standoff does not require additional screws as screw length from the Doorbell Bracket fasteners is sufficiently long enough.

NOTE: This Enhanced Mounting set was designed & tested with the Eufy Battery-Powered Video Doorbell with 2K Resolution. No compatibility testing has been undertaken with Wired & 1080p models despite them appearing similarly sized. Users attempting these pairings do so at their own risk.
