3D model description

DAR SUHSAI MR23P HDD tuff case

by DAR01

This is a TPU tuff case for a SUHSAI MR23P portable drive.

Designed to be printed with Shore hardness 95A TPU with a low infill (Gyroid).

Models accommodated:

SUHSAI MR23P 1TB Portable HDD

This may fit other SUHSAI HDD models, they seem to use the same cases, but with different capacity and model numbers.

Note: This will provide some scratch and impact resistance to your portable HDD. I accept no responsibility for how it is used, or for the level of protection this gives, or any damage or loss caused as a result of using it. Dropping HDDs from great heights will damage them one way or another so try not to do it, with or without a case!

Designers comments on use of this design and others

Feedback/comments, Likes and Collects are all gratefully received, as well as users posting their Makes. I put most of my designs on here for free as a kind of grateful payback for all the 3D files I have downloaded and enjoyed making, especially when I started out into the 3D printing world but seeing how these turn out for other people is often more worth it, even if you can't design your own models, you can still give back to the community in other ways. Please consider taking 5 mins of your time whilst you're waiting for this to print to give back a little; it won't even cost you money!

3D printing settings

No supports required if printed base to print surface. Use Tree supports (Cura) if you really feel the need.

Dependent on your settings, the side holes can get slightly stringy (as you'd expect with TPU); a blast with a hot air gun or gas lighter solves that quickly.

Slide the HDD into the case and ensure the flanges at the top wrap over the HDD, plug in USB and away you go.
