3D model description

This is the Super Magnum airsoft 40mm grenade launcher.

This design specifically is designed to utilize the ASG Multi-Purpose 40mm Reusable Airsoft Gas Grenade Shell (65rd) and will not at this time work with any other shells though if there is enough interest I will add further projectiles. The Super Magnum is also designed to fire tag compatible projectiles simply by not adding bbs to the shell and after loading the shell pushing the projectile down the barrel, depending on the accuracy of your 3d printer proper test fitting is required and some sanding might be as well, so far I've been able to just push a 3d printed projectile down the barrel a couple times to break it in.

So far depending on the projectile I have been able to clear anywhere from 100 feet with foam to 250 with 3d printed chalk rounds but it has also been tested with Reaper rounds but I only had one to test so inconclusive data so far. It can also shoot other foam projectiles like stress balls with limited success.

Other parts required:
3x 8-32nc x .6 in. button headed hex screw (body)
1x 8-32nc x 1.15 in. button headed hex screw (grip)
4x 8-32nc nut
1x .185 x .67 spring (trigger)
1x .17 x .66 spring (latch)
Super Glue
5 minute Epoxy

Assembly:

Trigger:
Place 1 body screw in the trigger hole the left side of the body, place trigger spring into trigger and place on screw. Then place right side of body on top of the trigger and press 1 nut in place using the screw to pull it the rest of the way into the recess.

Latch:
Place latch spring into the latch (glue might be helpful to hold the spring in during assembly) and align the spring into the hole in the body. Press into place and push 1 body screw into the proper hole, press 1 nut into the recess on the other side and tighten.

Grip:
Slot in 1 grip sizer (grip filler, grip s, grip m, or grip l) into the grip body, this should friction fit into the grip and should not be glued unless multiple grips are printed as there is also a stock that uses the same grip part or you might want to switch grip sizes. If it does not friction fit in then print at 101% and sand to a friction fit. Once fit attach to body using the grip screw and a nut.

Barrel:
Print either the part labeled rail or cover and epoxy into the top slot in the barrel taking care not to obscure the sight picture. A good seal around this part is required to launch larger projectiles or else it can blow gas out around this part and lose pressure. Then attach the barrel using a body screw and a nut. Optionally 3 pieces of filament can be inserted into the sights in glow in the dark, clear, or a contrasting color.
