3D model description

a modular samurai sword handle for umbrellas to turn them into mock swords for cosplay.

I created this after the cheap umbrella samurai sword I bought for my son crumbled. This handle is sturdy.

Print out two or more of the middle pieces then one of the end and one of the cap. Each segment is 50mm long and slides over the shaft of the umbrella.

I have included a tsube for this item though I have not printed it myself.

The BLADE was developed for a sculpture of wolverine print one of the wolverclaw2 then as many wolverextensions as you need to make the length of sword you want!

3D printing settings

Grind off or remove the old handle to the umbrella. Golf umbrellas work great.

Measure the shaft diameter of the umbrella

Enter this in the scad files... remember radius is half of diameter.

use black pla at least 2 perimiters and 15% fill

print one samuraiHandleEnd,

print one samuraihandleCap

print two or more samuraiHandle

print a samuraiTsube

slide the Tsube on to the shaft

slide the End onto the shaft

At this point you may wish to superglue or epoxy these pieces in place.

add the middle handle pieces. these should be glued.

add the Cap and glue it.

Wrap ribbon or tape around your handle.

Enjoy your samurai umbrella.
