3D model description

This is an ongoing exercise to design 3d printable parts for each mechanical movement in the book "507 Mechanical Movements" by Henry T. Brown (published 1868).

The latest Moments are now mech 8 and 9.

The general idea is to use a few readily available parts; M3 nuts/bolts/washers, string and a 3d printer (yeah i know) to implement each mech. the bits ought to print quickly and are obliged to be easily assembled.

The philosophy is to conserve mind and material; easily conceived assemblies of simple components.

All part are parametrically described in OpenSCAD.

Currently parts for Mechanisms 1 thur 9 have been implemented.

This is going to take a while so grab yourself a copy and join in.

It all builds upon itself.

Notes:

Mechanical Moments are currently defined figures 1-10. Moments in figures 7 thur 11 are assumed to be driven from the top.
