Simple Shade for E23 Light bulb fixture

When trying to make the hanging lamp sockets look good I got the idea of designing my own shades for my own lamp.

This is a very simple shade to create your own minimalist looking lamp. It was designed with heat management in mind so it can be printed with PLA and used with low wattage LEDs without any problem. See also limitations of your light bulb socket to define safe wattage to use in your lamp.

The holes around the support for the bulb allow air currents to cool the bulb and the shade.

It is designed for a light bulb e23 socket. If your socked does not come with a lamp shade ring adapter you can also print one. I have added one that works for me.

I can recommend printing at 0.3mm layer height, it gives fast and more importantly robust shade that will be opaque.
You can try with translucent materials to have a different look and degree of translucency.
I recommend using supports for the inner part only so its minimal amount of material wasted on support structures. I attach a picture of the supports location. The object is designed to be printed upside down with the fixing part closer to the printing table to reduce support needs. A 3mf file is attached with very general settings and the correct support an orientation.
Printing time from 1.5 to 2.4 hours depending on your settings.
