3D model description

Hopefully the first functional version of Hollies prosthetic hand. This is inspired by the Robohand and E-nable prosthetics. It combines 3D scans of her full hand and her partial hand to create a highly customised design. I hope to take the lessons I've learned from this design and apply them to designs for other users.

The hand is designed to be printed using a SLS printer. I hope that later versions can incorporate colours and textures to make it look as lifelike as possible.

Right now it needs some assembly, but I hope to reduce the number of printed parts until it is printed in one piece.

I have ordered the hand from Shapeways and will have it around the 20th of November. I hope to let Hollie try it out within a week of then.
