3D model description

12-28-2018
This is an ADJUSTABLE Sight version. I created one previously that had fixed sights, but this one just looks better and it is adjustable.

Adjust Windage...and Elevation, How cool right... so lets move on to the versions....

V1 (version 1) files are marked V1 and only use one screw to adjust Elevation and Windage. The problem with version 1 is that there is too much play and sights were not always staying level. This is where Version 2 comes (Recommend you get V2.

V2 (version 2) files is a modified version of V1 and the only thing I did was added 2 screws to the bow sight to lock it straight and keep it from drooping like it did in Version one. A few minor corrections were also made to the adapter allowing a little more adjustments.

Pictures of Version 2 will be uploaded shortly. I've placed one quick picture of V2 to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Download and select V1 or V2 files to print. Again I recommend V2 version.

Supports are not needed on Sight.stl file
Supports needed on Sight Adapter file
No Supports needed on Sight Ring
No Supports needed on Sight Pin

Hardware Needed:

Version 1
1 x M2 Screw 8mm length
1 x M2 Nut
2 x M3 Screws 20mm length (if using quiver to hold arrows)
2 x M3 Nuts

Version 2
2 x M2 Screw 8mm length
2 x M2 Nuts
2 x M3 Screws 20mm length (if using quiver to hold arrows)

Gorilla Super Glue to place Sight Pins in sight holes. Holes are located next to the Sight bracket that connects to the adapter.

You'll want to have some needle nose or flat head pliers to install ring.

Your normal hex wrenches for screws and nuts.

I have added photos of my installation for V1. Version 2 just uses an extra 2mm screw to secure the sight better and same steps can be followed as in Version 1.

Some installation notes:

Note1: Sight Pins are placed on a small square for a couple reasons. If you decided you want to hand paint them, you already have a flat structure to paint and dry. The should break off fairly easy but I highly recommend use wire cutters and cut as far down to the square as you can. I've allowed distance for wire cutters to not take too much off the pin which will still align in the middle of the sight as long as you use small wire cutters. Also this helps with part sticking to the bed due to how small the site pins are 1mm diameter.
I also printed Sight Pins at .20 infill Medium setting instead of High.

Note2: The sight has a small cutout that will allow the ring to be installed. Though it seems at first the ring won't fit, it should fit without a problem. Just carefully apply a little pressure and work your way around the ring. There will be a spot that will allow ring to drop in. Once the ring is started inside this ridge, with needle nose or flat head pliers lights apply pressure and the ring will begin going into it's spot. It should fit, I've made 5 of these sights and everytime they ring has fit just fine.

Any suggestions or thoughts let me know. I hope this enhances your Miniature Compound Bow adventures.
