Storage Box / Display Stand for Bandai DX Chogokin Macross VF-1 Strike / Super Valkyrie

Storage box for the Bandai DX Chogokin Macross VF-1 with Strike / Super Parts and Missiles.

The box has slots for the leg armor, forearm armor, rear boosters, shoulder cannon, GU-11 gunpod, TV missiles (4), movie micro-missile pods (4), reaction missiles (6), stand adapters (Fighter, Battroid, GERWALK, and Super Parts Fighter). I also included spaces for the forearm micro-missiles, in case you print up a set of my replacement designs.

The lid, when printed with multi-colors, is designed to look like part of the deck of the ARMD space carriers, and includes a slot to slide in the stock stand arm.

There is also a lid insert to fill in the slot where the arm slides into.

The front plate can be printed separately, and with multi-color, will display "NORTHROM VF-1S VALKYRIE" along with the info on the Strike Super Parts.

I may later add front plates with "NORTHROM VF-1A", "SHINNAKASU VF-1J" and/or "STONEWELL/BELLCOM VF-1D"

This thing is big, and barely fits on my Prusa MK3S.

The photos are my original / prototype, which was too tight with the leg armor and had some other issues. The current version swaps the location of the reaction missiles and micro-missile pods to free up space for the leg armor.

Printed in multi-material PLA. You can print in single color, but will lose the text and patterns. You could print the main box with a filament switch after 1mm to make the internal slots pop more.

You will need to rotate the wipe tower, and set it to 4mm, and reduce the purging volumes to keep the tower from extending out of the printing volume.

The lid should be printed face down with supports. Since I liked the look, set "lid infill" to honeycomb 10% with the top layers to 0.

I would suggest simply loading the 3MF files I'm including.
