3D model description

I finally got tired of looking at my make-shift 2x4 monitor stands, so I designed this. My heat bed is not big enough to print a single piece stand, so this will print in 3 pieces. You can use the dimensions I printed (200x170x125mm), or use the Customizer to create your own size.

My printer has some difficulties with fitment. Holes are slightly small and pegs are slightly large. You can generate a set of interlock test parts with Customizer to be sure that the full-size parts will fit nicely before you waste too much plastic filament. Measure and adjust the calibration value as needed.

I used ABS and heat the bed to a toasty 120C to ensure that the print stayed flat. I placed the parts on the heat bed at a 45 degree angle and printed them one at a time, but you could probably run a whole set at once if you are brave. They print upside-down with no support material or rafts. In the dimensions I used, the sides took about 4 hours each and the center support about 2 1/2 hours.

Keep in mind that the Width should be set such that the rubber monitor feet will fall on top of the sides to ensure a good fit. I'm very happy with these over my 2x4s. :)

Unfortunately Customizer seems to only allow you to generate 1 output .stl at a time, so you'll need to run it a couple times to generate the side and support parts. If anybody knows a decent workaround, please let me know.

*** UPDATE ***
I added a Print_Bed output which will generate all 3 parts needs together for printing. This is best output format since you can then manipulate the parts as needed for your printer.
