This was produced as a teaching material that can explain the basic structure and function of the “V-type 12-cylinder” engine installed in world-famous air fighters such as the "Spitfire" and "P-51" in the 1940s and 1950s referring Internet information.
Well-known engines with this type of structure are "Merlin" and "V-1650".
A. Features of this model are;
 ①. “V” type 60° 12-cylinder, Water Cooled
 ②. Over Head Cam and Valve mechanism (4 valves changed to 2 valves type)
 ③. Crankshaft (1 piece) and Rod assembly
 ④. Reduction Gears (Spur Gear type)
 ⑤. Supercharger gears and Impeller (1 stage, 2 speed) - (Early type)
 ⑥. Manifold type Intake Duct
 ⑦. Exhaust Pipes (Individual type)
 ⑧. Coolant Pump and Piping
 ⑨. Simplified Accessories (Propeller, Carburetor, Magneto and Starter etc.)
 ⑩. It can be rotational by finger from Starter or Propeller.

B. Assembly Manual (PDF format, total 30 pages)
The detail assembly manual including "Parts-List", "After printing treatment" and "Assembly procedure" are prepared based on "Standard Skill (Filing, Drilling, Tapping and painting)".
The manual is including the all procedures to assemble with all parts.

C. Purchase Parts Information (Changed);
 -Metal Bearing - 675ZZ(5x8x2.5)x1, 686ZZ(6x13x5)x2, 689ZZ(9x17x5)x1, 6900ZZ(10x22x6)x3, 6901ZZ(12x24x6)
 -Coil Spring (5x10x0.5 or 0.4)x4
 -Aluminum Pipe φ3, 9
 -Brass Rod : φ2
 -Screws M1.4, M2 and M3 - Size ca be changed by your experience.

D. STL file
  STL files of this model are 79 items.
  "ws" of last 2 digits of file name means "With Support" special designed.

E. Total Net Print Time: Approx. 136 HR
 - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support)
  Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience.

F. Printing settings
  Parts are designed for printer sized 150Lx130Wx100H.
  Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience.
  My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.

Propeller (Tool) changed from 2-Blade to 3-Blade type.
Inlet-Duct and Turn-Knob changed for Engine Mount Frame in future.
