FLEXI SNAPPING TURTLE

This MORDELONA TURTLE is an articulated model that needs NO supports, NO assembly, and prints very well with PLA.

YOU WILL FIND A MODEL OF A SNAPPING TURTLE WITH MOVEMENT IN THE JAW.

you will also find a stl file with joined body and head # 8

A very collectible toy , this Flexi is really fun to play with because it floats on water and moves in any shape.

The head is multi directional in all directions rolls on itself.

As with all my Flexi's, I went through several iterations to make sure it was strong, and easy to print without brackets.

if you are new to 3D printing, I recommend using the model ( 5-a), (5 -b), (5 - c) ...... with parameters of : 3 walls - parted thickness - 1.2 , layer height 0.2 to 0.16 - initial layer height 0.2 - line width 0.4, - fill 10 - 15 , gyroid fill distance 3.0 - or 5.0 - printing speed 40.0. outer walls speed 20.0

*Print-in-place (without mounting)

*10-20% filler to be sure

NOTE : stl file - Snapping turtle head 1 , if the jaw movement tolerance is too hard when printing, you can decrease the friction a little bit, with the parameters Wall: Horizontal expansion - ( 0.01 to 0.2 )

*I suggest 3 walls to make the peaks stronger.

*PLA works very well

*Make sure you have good adhesion on the bed if you are going to print small size use a balsa.

tip :

print the head only on a few layers of balsa;) works perfect. ⠀
