3D model description

I always wanted a sword collection of my own. Now that I'm older, and that this wonderful technology that is 3D printing exists (and is somewhat affordable), I am able to dream of this again, but every collection needs to be displayed and organized somehow.

β€œFrom the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

This Sword Display is inspired in the lore of the Lord of the Rings, it portrays the white tree of Gondor, and some memorable quotes from the book. It is meant to be hanged from a wall like a frame. it can also be used as a wall decoration without the sword supports.

Update: Added some support pieces to help with rigidity when you join the pieces together. you can either use 08 (print 2) or 09 (print 4)

If you like the sword featured here, you can check it out, and some more, here: My creations

3D printing settings

The model is 18 x 39 cm in size, and it comes in a cut version so that you can fit it in your printer platform.

Disclaimer: This was designed to hold 3D printed swords (which are lighter in weight than real swords), and its strength will vary depending on the material you print in. Always test your print with some weights to know if it will hold your sword without breaking.
