3D model description
I Designed this Pellet chute for my Austin XL to aid in emptying my pellets into a 5 gallon bucket.
This chute allows you to transport the pellets into the bucket or container without spilling pellets everywhere like before.
It will work for other models that do not have the hinged door like on the 1600 pro series (i am working on a design for that)
I have attached a picture of the port opening, for this to work there should be no screws or protrusions around the port, which can be found on some models. many styles share this same port design.
The Chute is attached by embedded magnets which are installed using a pause print G code somewhere around layer 22 depending on your layer height.
Opening of the chute is 2.75"x2.75' and should fit any drain port at or smaller than that.
I print these on a CR10 V2, and it will require 217mm build height capacity which may be possible on an ender 3 style printer.
Scaling down may be possible but the size of the holes for the magnets will decrease and will not fit.
Magnets needed are 12x3mm, and you need 12 of them. 2 magnets go in each slot and they must measure close to .20" or they will be too tall. if you cannot find the right thickness I can modify the model to fit your needs.
You will need a small dot of super glue when you put the magnets in to keep them in while the hot end moves over them, if not the magnets will come out and stick to the x carriage.

The white model pictured shows the orientation I use for printing with no supports, but this was one of the first iterations before i finished it, the magnet holes are not visible on the outside with the v5 version
I modified and added an "open magnet" version if you do not want to deal with the pause print/inserting magnets.
just glue the magnets in afterwards, super glue works well.
Reach out to me if you need help working out the pause print G Code or finding the right magnets.
I have added the step files so you can modify to fit your needs if you have the capability.

3D printing settings
The following are the printer and settings I used
CR10V2 with .6mm Nozzle
.28 layer height 50mm/sec
3 perimeters, 3 bottom and top layers
20% infill, Rectilinear
infill combined every 2 layers
No supports
M25 G code (pause print) at layer 22 (this will change with different layer heights, there should be at least 2 full first 2 layers)
print will pause roughly 53 minutes in at this setting.
I would suggest if you have a CR touch or ABL With metal probe, to put a small piece of tape over the probe when the print pauses because the magnet may draw out the probe and cause a collision, ask me how I know....
I reccomend Stacking all the magnets so the polarity is all facing the same direction in stacks of 2, marking the top and inserting them all in the same orientation.
Filament used-
Sunlu Pla Plus, 220*C first layer 215*C nozzle/60*C bed
Usually prints in 7 hours
