3D model description

This is a 1:1 replica prop of the M240B and M240G Machine Guns. In use by many NATO and non NATO countries such as Ukraine. This prop has many movable features such as a stowable bipod assembly, movable trigger, hinged covers with a detailed interior as well as a working charging handle and bolt. The top cover does not have a latching mechanism due to the small nature of the parts which wouldn't withstand much mechanical stress. Carry Handle rotates to firing position and actually bears the prop's weight.

If properly built, post processed and painted, it is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. You will need files, drills, sandpaper, paint and a few other objects and tools to fully build this prop in order to get the most realistic appearance. 1/4" brass tubing, 3/32" Piano wire, 3/16 wooden dowel rod, pen springs and some screws will be used to assemble the model. A 1/2" copper plumbing pipe sizes to North American standards will be needed.

This model contains a LOT of parts and is NOT a one-piece model. Its not one of those models you just print and glue together. Post processing will be necessary. You should have a FDM printer with a 12" bed. You may be able to subdivide the model for smaller printers using Meshmixer or other software but that is your responsibility. It may not be printable on 3d belt printers. If you have a question, "Message" me.

Due to the extreme detailed nature of this design, some parts may be printed on a resin printer for extra detail.

Some parts of this model are designed to be disassembled in order to change configurations to different variants. More variants will be designed in the future such as M240D, M240H, M240L, M240N and the MAG 58 if there is interest. More than likely those variants will be separate downloads.

This is a prop and can not be made to fire anything. It may be possible to convert this to be airsoft capable but this was not designed for that purpose.

The last picture is my build in progress.

Added additional accessory for buttstock to adjust angle to horizontal as seen on some weapons.

This is a prop. NOT A FIREARM. It cannot be made into a real weapon. An airsoft or paintball conversion may be possible, however this was not initially designed for that purpose.

If you want a scope for this, consider going to O-Towns page. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/elcan-m145-c79-gun-sight
He also has a fabulous M249 SAW.

There is an update on a part. Bolt - Part 4 is supposed to have a hole through it where the 153mm tube goes through it in Step 13. A new part, Bolt - Part 4 (New) has been uploaded. The hole is missing on the instructions as well.

Forgot to include Gas Tube in Step 49 in zip. Uploaded.
