3D printing settings

I use a 0.5mm nozzle for robust features and slightly faster print times.

You can scale this model by the XY axis (maintain the original Z height) down to fit 200mm x 200mm printer. Recommend 0.4mm nozzle here.

Use 30% honeycomb infill to save plastic for the thick plates, but make sure there is at least 1 mm of solid plastic on the top surface, because this will need to be sanded down slightly to get a smooth surface for the paint to print well. I use 80 grit sandpaper first with a sanding block, then 80, then finish with 120 fine grit to get a nice smooth finish. This won't take too long if you use PLA plastic.

Take care of the plates by not letting acrylic paint dry on them, soak them in some water until you finish the whole print and can wash them altogether. If they do completely dry, then just re-sand with fine paper to refresh the pattern.
