Hello all,

This is my articulated skeleton. This figure uses ball joints that are popped together!

3D printing settings

I print this model at a low infill to keep it as light as possible (usually at 10%). Additionally, I print the Skull, Abdomen, Shoulders, and Thighs with support only for the parts touching/facing the build plate. Then everywhere for the Hands and Feet.

I have found that you can get away with supports facing the build plate with the Hands and Feet but it requires a little more cutting around the inside of the socket.

I have used PLA for this print at multiple layer heights from .1 mm to .2 mm. The print time for the combined parts can be between 45 min and 2 hrs depending on the quality you are looking for.

Once assembled the figure is about 85 mm tall or around 3.33 inches.
