3D model description

What can be more intriguing than a game of chess? Obviously a game of chess through a gravitational singularity.

This chessboard introduces new game mechanics that can make your games much more twisted. Moreover, it is also a nice piece of furniture.

For complete assembly you will need to double print all provided files and follow the images for placement reference. All 72 tiles contained in one half of the chessboard are different and numbered, so it is important to check carefully before gluing them permanently in place.

In each tile it is necessary to glue a disc magnet (6 mm diameter and 2 mm thick) to allow the pawns to remain on the board during the game. You will need 144 magnets for the complete board and another 32 for the pawns.

It is advisable to first assemble all 8 pieces of the main frame and then add the tiles, row by row.

The pawns designed for this chessboard that you see in the images are available on this page.

If you want to use other pieces, it will be necessary to create a housing for the magnet on the bottom. Also remember to check that they are no higher than 60mm, otherwise there will be problems passing through the tunnel in game.

What is a Wormhole?

A wormhole (or Einstein–Rosen bridge or Einstein–Rosen wormhole) is a speculative structure linking disparate points in spacetime, and is based on a special solution of the Einstein field equations.

For a simplified notion of a wormhole, space can be visualized as a two-dimensional surface. In this case, a wormhole would appear as a hole in that surface, lead into a 3D tube (the inside surface of a cylinder), then re-emerge at another location on the 2D surface with a hole similar to the entrance. An actual wormhole would be analogous to this, but with the spatial dimensions raised by one.
