3D model description

This mechanical transmission is a fun project of mine that took quite a lot of time to bring to life, but finally it's finished!

The whole model consists not only of printed files (in which one TPU - flex print is needed) but also other purchased items such as screws, bearings and of course - a motor - if you want to give it a run! I managed to buy everything I needed for less than $20.

The output gearing ratio is approximately 1:27, but due to the flex gear specification it sometimes differs.

The downloadable content contains .PDF manual of how to assembly every part.

3D printing settings

Every part's material is featured in the assembly documentation in .PDF file

To print most PLA or ABS parts you want to follow these settings:
- Nozzle 0.4mm
- Layer height 0.16 - 0.2mm
(for parts designed to hold countersunk screws you may use somwhere around 0.12mm)
- Supports are needed only for the main case in very small amount
- Infill at least 20%, for circular spline it is reccomended to use 35% or more
- Infill pattern full or fast honeycomb
- Printing speed may be as fast as 60mm/s but for flex it should be somewhere around 16-20mm/s
