3D model description

Mods for an Ashford table loom

The sectional beam dividers allow loading a warp with sectional tools like AVL's warping wheel or a spool rack. In addition to the dividers, you will need 4 dowels that fit the holes. I drilled mine for 5/16" dowels. I recommend using the second or third holes from the center to give room for the knots in the warp end. To insert the dowels, the side of the loom must be removed. I used hot glue to keep the dividers in place. You will need 13 copies and 12 'leashes' to use the full width.

The beater ramp provides a raceway for the shuttle to make passing the shuttle easier and safer as the shuttle cannot drop through the warp. This does limit how forward the fell line can be because the shelf will hit the warp but this can be limited by narrowing the shelf a bit. The beater-ramp-support part snaps on the bottom of the beater. You will need 2 of each beater ramp part. Slide them outside of the warp to keep them from interfering with the warp. The beater-ramp-surface-base part should be glued to the beater-ramp-support part. Put double sided tape on it to hold the surface. The surface STL is meant to be cut from 1/8" or 3MM plywood with a cnc router or cut it by hand. You could 3d print it, in pieces if necessary. Make it wider than your widest warp. I didn't have any wider thin plywood but will extend it all the way across when I get chance. No, you don't need to use 2 different color filaments unless you like to run out before the job is done. Also, rotate the support on the print bed of course.

The reel holder needs a surface at the front of the loom. The stock Ashford stand doesn't have this but it would be easy to add a piece of 1x2 wood or something similar. The holder is attached with double sided tape at the appropriate width for your plan. Print it upside down as there is space for the paper in the design. I transfer lift plans to Google Sheets and print with a font size of 60. I also expand each pick so that all the shafts line up but this is not required.
