3D model description

While the Mini Adder v2 aims the usage of EK Archery Cobra bow arms those are often quite expensive if you even are able to get them.
Currently there seems to be quite a shortage of Cobra bow arms. I still had the much cheaper Natter crossbow arms made from steel lying around.

You can get them in Germany for example here:
https://www.bogensportwelt.de/Ersatzbogen-fuer-Armbrust-X-Bow-NATTER

For below 4€ still a good bang for the buck even if its "only" a steel bow. With 50 lbs they still perform pretty good and I am pleased with their precision. For strings I would simply use Dyneema and not buy the orginal.

The bow mount for the Natter bow included in the Mini Adder v1 package inside the Adderini pack you needed to stop the print in order to place an M5 nut inside the front part. This is additional work and personally I found the part not too stable since they have only very thin walls.

I played around a bit with OpenSCAD and modified the original part to accept those brass M5x8x5 inserts you typically melt into your part.

I guess the mounting of a Natter bow into a Mini Adder v2 is not much different to a Mini Adder v1. So I do not include further instructions. I guess it is obvious that this is not the bow originally to be used with the Mini Adder v2. So do not blame Faramir if something breaks. I have used two Mini Adder v1 with Natter bows in the past and they always worked very reliable. So I do not expect any problems. I only include the front part for the Natter bow. You will find the rest of the parts inside the folder "STL_MiniAdder_by_Faramir" included with the Adderini pack of Lukasz.

Have fun and stay safe :-)

3D printing settings

Reasonable wall number and solid filament. I usually print those bow mounting parts in ASA or at least PETG
