3D model description

"We're going to have the best looking house in town, Russ" -C. Griswold

Modeled after Clark Griswold's house from Lampoon's Christmas Vacation film. Throw some lights on it, do a drum roll, hit the light switch and make Clark proud!

PLEASE NOTE THE MODEL SCALE. I made it larger (1:40 scale) for better detail and it was printed on an Ender 3 Max which has a 12"x12"x13.5" build volume. The windows/doors were resin printed. The biggest portion of the house (main_walls file) took nearly 4 days to print at .12 layer height.

UPDATE:

I have added files (V2) for those who want to print the walls and roofs flat. Small tabs were also added to assist with assembly.

3D printing settings

  • Dimensions are set at 17.5"L 10.5"D 7.25"H
  • Printed using PLA and resin
  • Files with numbers represent how many to print
  • Printed at .12mm layer height with supports
  • Most of it printed vertically with skirts or rafts
