--- French (English below) ---

Magnetic effector with ventilation duct designed for a Merlin HotEnd

Design made with : Autodesk Fusion 360

Link to assembly: http://a360.co/1FrkNPn

NB: The parts are designed to be printed without hardware support.

Effector: designed for magnetic connection with the arms, it receives six magnets with an external diameter of 12mm. The distance between the magnets is 40mm, which ensures compatibility with Kossel printers and other deltas using this same distance.

Ventilation duct: Designed to accommodate a 40x40mm fan, the airflow is split in two to cool the ColdEnd on the one hand (filament feed duct to the fusing chamber) and the print on the other.

Clamping jaw: it is designed to firmly block the HotEnd Merlin (or any other model whose upper ring would have identical dimensions - see diagrams). The blocking is done by tightening the jaw against the end effector by means of two M3 screws. It is possible to use two nuts, but screwing into the plastic is normally sufficient.

Tip: If you print this end effector in PLA (which is also my case), when using it do not forget to ventilate it permanently to avoid its overheating and therefore its deformation (parameter to be positioned at the slicer)

Magnetic effector with fan duct designed for Merlin HotEnd

Design made with Autodesk Fusion 360

Link to the design: http://a360.co/1FrkNPn

NB : parts are designed to be printed without material supports

Effector: designed for magnetic connection with the arms, it receives six magnets having an outer diameter of 12mm. The center distance between the magnets is 40 mm, which ensures compatibility with Kossel printers and any other delta using this same center distance.

Fan duct : Designed to receive a 40x40mm fan, the air flow is split in two for cooling the ColdEnd (filament supply pipe to the melting chamber) and the printing.

Jaw: it is designed to securely lock the Merlin HotEnd (or any model with the upper ring has the same dimensions - see diagrams). Blocking is performed by clamping the jaw against the end-effector with two M3 screws. There is the possibility of using two nuts, but screwing into plastic is normally good enough.

Tip: If you print this effector with PLA (which is my case) when in use, be sure to always ventilate it in order to avoid overheating and thus its deformation. (it's a slicer parameter)
