3D model description

I worked on this thing for several months. Originally I wanted to make metal ones and sell them. Then I finished designing one I could print and realized that it would be way too expensive for anyone to buy a metal one and it would be too much work for me. I might one day still sell printed ones with paint and fabric, but for now I'm way too busy and I just want people to be able to enjoy this mask. So, enjoy this free dishonored mask that's way better than the overpriced ones out there :D

I actually bought that overpriced $350 "kit" with the nice expensive plastic parts. It's oversized and the parts don't really fit together nicely. Still haven't built it tbh. But I did use it as a reference for this model.

I also own one of those Dishonored 2 masks that came with a certain edition of the game, which I modified to wear for a costume. The problem with it is you can't see anything. The lenses are tiny and almost your entire view is blocked. You won't have this problem with my mask. The left eye is completely open, it's meant to be covered with a piece of transparent plastic or glass. The right eye does have 3 holes, but I made it so that the biggest hole is actually aligned perfectly with your eye. As for comfort, it's pretty comfortable for me. The frame rests nicely around my eyebrows.

If you have anything to change about this, go ahead. Remix it or whatever and credit me. I was planning on making some changes anyway, just got too busy to work on these projects because I'm starting a parkour gym and that's taking a lot of time & money. Some things I'd like to change are making the frame pieces and rectangle things stronger so they stop snapping, maybe redesigning how the parts are put together to make it less of a pain to assemble, adding holes to the jaws so you know where to put the wires, and maybe making a version that's a little simpler so it doesn't explode your computer when you open it in blender

3D printing settings

These aren't print settings this is like how to assemble it

Be super careful with the right face piece and with the frame pieces. They're very flimsy. It's the worst feeling having a big part like this printing for a long time and then snapping one of those tiny rectangles off the side. I mean it's fine you can just glue it back on but it's annoying.

Feel free to remix this and edit it to strengthen whatever parts necessary. If you have a bigger face you can also make the nose piece wider. Sorry about all the vertices.

If I remember right, the holes are meant for m3 screws because that's what I had on me. For the nose piece, the screws are meant to come in from the outside. You can see how that part is assembled here: https://www.reddit.com/r/dishonored/comments/syy99p/mask_update_got_everything_but_the_jaws_printed/

I haven't actually gotten around to completing a mask yet with paint and fabric. But the fabric is meant to go in between the mask and the frame. You can cut some little holes by the nose piece where necessary

If you want to put wires in the mouth you're gonna have to figure out where to drill the holes yourself, I didn't put holes on it

Oh for the mask strap, I haven't actually tried setting it up, but I'd recommend 3 connection points. One on either side on the weird gear pieces on the frame, (I put a vertical straight part on there that you could wrap the strap around) and one somewhere on the top of the head (this could be attached to one of the pieces that runs across that's attached to the right face piece). Another option would be just sewing the mask strap onto the actual cloth part if you want to avoid connecting it to the frame entirely

LeftFrameV2 has a thicker eye to try and keep it from snapping. I don't think I ever printed this one to test it yet but it should work fine
