Nexus 6P Desk and Car Charging Dock

This is a dock for the Nexus 6P that can be used either on a desk or mounted in a car. The holes are designed to work on a ProClip car mount. If used on a desk, print the additional legs which lock into place. There is a hole to hot glue a USB-C cable in place.

This dock was designed for use with the Spigen SGP11797 Rugged Armor Case for Nexus 6P. It would need slight adjustments for other cases, or if using no case.

The dock itself can be printed without support (if your 3D printer handles bridging well), however support is needed for locking connectors on the legs if printing those.

The USB-C cable used for this was the cable included with the Fi bricks Christmas present. While holding the cable bent, I hot glued it in place, and held it's position for a few minutes while letting the glue set in place. I then dremeled the hot glue smooth so that it was flat with the rest of the bottom.

I also used tack putty on the bottom which holds the dock in place when I pull the smartphone out of the dock. Additional photos included.
