What's that growing in the canopy of that Tippi Tree? Why, it's a pinetree fruit with a star stem! (Works with regular stem as well).
Tree texture was influenced by Devin Montes @MakeAnything vase explorations.
**Edit** I've included a slightly scaled down tree .....Something weird happened when I originally uploaded, the diameter of the tree was slightly too large to be a legal piece. Both the original and scaled pieces will hold a star/stem.
Printed tree at 0.35mm layer height with 0.4mm nozzle. printed with the top of the tree on the print bed. I Paused the print for a colour swap at the trunk.
I slowed down the print speed (75% default prusa slicer speeds... about 37mm/s print speeds) to give the plastic more time to droop and compensate for the small contact area with the print bed.
Star was printed at 0.15mm later height. Printed horizontally.
I found it to be a tight fit, so be aware if you attach the star, it may stay attached (possibly becoming an illigal piece).
**edit Nevermind, I was able to take them apart with some wiggling and pulling**
You could also drill a small hole or model a hole in the star to use as an ornament on a live tree.
