3D model description

This track connector pin can be used as:
- a dead track isolation pin, (just use as-is)
- or wired to act as a switch or relay controlled jumper pin
- or wired as a normal conductor pin
- or wired as feeder pins.

It is compatible with Kato brand UNITRACK N gauge and HO gauge track.

Wiring Instructions:
Use 22 solid wire, or 24 gauge braided wire.

To wire as a switch or relay controlled jumper:
- strip insulation from 2 wires to expose about 10 mm bare wire on each.
- insert each bare ends up through the center-most holes
- bend protruding bare ends into a U-shape, and pull each down into its nearest outer hole.
- attach switch or relay to the other end of the wires.
-Note, you must also use a second (unwired) "dead" pin at the other end of the track section that you want to control. This second pin must be on the same rail.

- When switch or relay is closed, the dead track section will be powered from the adjacent rail.

To wire as a normal conductive pin:
- strip a short piece of suitable wire entirely.
- bend into a U-shape
- insert up through center-most holes
- bend ends into a downward U and insert into outer holes.
- pull back ends back to toward the bottom, twist together and then trim excess length.

To wire as a feeder pin:
- use 2 pins, one for each rail, and wire as normal conductor pin, except leave one end of each wire long.

3D printing settings

Due to the fine detail of this print, you must use a .2 or smaller nozzle for FDM printers. Best results will be obtained with resin based printers. (see photo for recommended resin printer orientation - no supports or base needed).
