3D model description

Here is a little case which keeps the USB Buck/Boost Voltage Converter safe.

You will need at least 8 3Mx20 screws to fasten all the parts together.

Personally, I used 3Mx10 socket head screws for the Hinges and the top of the clasp along with 2 3Mx20 socket head screws for the locking part of the clasp.

Depending on the filament used, the case may close easily or be slightly springy and need a bit of a squeeze to close.

After printing do not attempt to place the USB Buck Boost Converter into the case prior to making sure that it closes easily and without effort.

To do this, assemble the case and then close the two parts together and lock the clasp. The clasp locks by squeezing the recessed area in the center.

If the case feels good and easy to close without too much effort, you are now okay to try it with the USB Buck/Boost Converter in it.

If the case if hard to close, squeeze the pieces together while pushing the center of the clasp to lock one side and then repeat for the other.
Carefully use some hot air on the center of the two hinges and two clasps to slowly heat up the plastic. Do this very slowly and with focus only on the hinges and clasps. Take your time with it on and off if need be until the plastic loosens up as much as required to open and close the case easily.

Filament used was:

Monoprice Pla+ Green at 225c
Inland Filament Yellow ToughPLA at 220c
