3D model description

The DJI Mini 3 Pro sits quite low to the ground, and with these legs (which simply clips onto the drone) the drone is lifted by approximately 23 mm.

There are two front legs that clips onto the propeller arms, and one single leg in the rear that clips onto the drone body. With just three contact points to the ground, it is easier to find a stable position (like a tripod, essentially). To fold the drone, the legs must be removed, but that is a quick operation. The front legs have been designed so that they will pop off in case of a crash or a hard landing, which might help save the propeller arm from breaking.

Here's a video showing preparation and use of these arms:

Beware that even if the combined weight of these legs is less than 10 grams, adding them will still bring the drone weight over 250 grams, which may or may not be illegal where you fly.

3D printing settings

Recommended layer height is 0.2 mm, and no infill (to save weight). With a 0.4 mm nozzle, use 2 or 3 perimeters/shells, just make sure that all looks good in the slicer preview. Note that the files should import in the correct orientation for printing, so do not rotate the object in the slicer. The strength and tolerance to bending depends on the correct printing orientation (see image that shows this).

The front legs have a builtin support that must be broken off after printing, but the rear leg does not need any support. However, depending on bed adhesion, a brim may well be necessary. If using a brim, make sure to clean the edges thoroughly, so that fitment to the drone will be good.

Note: If you purchase these files, you only have the right to make copies for personal use. You may not create copies for others.
