3D model description

The Corkscrew is famous in the world of motorsport. It’s a challenging left-right turn that drops dramatically as you’re turning. I have scaled it down to a Radius 2 (R2) left hander and a Radius 3 (R3) right hander.

The stl’s provide for a magnet (MAG) version or a non-magnet (MAGLESS) version. The track isn’t magnetic – you glue steel to the track so the magnets in the cars are attracted to the track.
Steps:
1. Decide if you want the MAG version or the MAGLESS version.
2. Print the parts for the 2 corner pieces – the R2 and the R3.
3. Superglue/dowel/weld the parts together. I use dowel pins as below***
4. (for MAG version only) Superglue steel wires** into grooves.
5. stick on adhesive backed copper foil*.

7. Start Racing!
Feel free to print this, or print it and sell it - I give permission for that. But please don't give away the .stl files.

For steel, I use 0.9mm diameter gardener's tie wire from the local hardware shop.
*** For dowels I use 3mm x 3mm square stainless steel - cut to 12mm lengths.
