The Immobilizer from Transformers G1

The Immobilizer from Transformers G1 3D print model

Description

Always the wacky inventor, Wheeljack was never short on pulling out gizmos from his lab - and this time, we get to mess around with The Immobilizer!

Controlled remotely using a handheld control pad, this nasty little buggy zaps anything and instantly stops it in its tracks!

This mechanical acorn of mischief stands on four legs and sports a directional dish to aim and blast its beam away. Of course, the tip of the dish fits effect parts and, do watch where you are aiming!

As seen in the series, there is a also a closed mode for the Immobilizer where the legs and the dish are retracted. Probably to make it easier to carry around.

And, depending on the type of bot you would like to hold the control pad, it comes in both a version with a 5mm peg on the back, and one without (for bots whose hands can open up)

=== ASSEMBLY === The attached diagram shows all the parts in this kit visually:

Being smaller and more detailed pieces, it would be advisable to run your printers at slower speeds with reduced layer heights. Also, the dish would likely turn out best oriented facing upwards vertically and without supports being turned on.

===

As usual, do have fun 3d printing and adding this to your good ol' bot collection! =)
